proposal draft

 For my BFA I would like to make a series of paintings exploring womanhood through the female gaze. I would like to show these women as people instead of subjects to observe by showcasing intimate domestic scenes, figure painting, themes of identity, vulnerability, anger, relationships and self-perception. I hope to touch on the overlooked moments of the female experience and highlight the emotional connection between women through shared experiences, rest, and routines and understanding. Due to the poses being more intimate and natural, my goal is to go against the traditional representations of how women are supposed to look due to the media. In these scenes I'd like to have them in private spaces like the bedroom, living room, and in nature.
