Draft Proposal

Overview and Vision

“Built From What Was” is a photography Series exploring the unseen foundation of athletes, the environments, sacrifices, and moments that shape them before recognition. This exhibition shifts the focus away from performance and highlights process, identity, and origin. Through raw, cinematic imagery, the work captures athletes not as performers, but as products of their past and environment. The exhibition will carry a gritty, immersive, and emotional tone, emphasizing Texture (grain, blur, sweat, concrete, fabric), Contrast (light vs shadow, isolation vs intensity) and Intimacy (close-up details vs environmental context).
