Artist Statement:

My work as an artist tackles real world issues regarding to war, genocides, and presidency. Each design, color, and shape has its own intentional purpose for being present within the piece I am conveying to you all. I also add opacity, shade, and lines into my piece and that creates a lasting impact onto the viewer based on interest. I am hoping that by displaying my art that I get to convey these issues in a meaningful manner that people will take these issues more seriously and do something about the circumstances of the reality others are living in. Within exploring different themes and art styles based on the artist influence, I am hoping that I can use my inspirations to truly cause a difference. I want it to be intentional and inspirational so that way other artists can take what I have done and get ideas from my line of work.

  1. Hey Sara, after reading your artist statement, I see that your focus is topics in the real world. When stating " for being present within the piece I am conveying to you all"- I reccomend swsitching it to a more forward language if that makes sense. Such as " conveying to the audience". You want to sound professional and that you know your work to explain it in words. Ill be very honest, Im a little confused with your sentence that eneded with "truly cause a difference". Are you trying to say that based on your influences, you are hoping to cause a difference. I think there can be better wording for that part. You can explore more towards explaining the part of "intentional". Hope your artist statement comes out perfect !
