Artist Statement & Bio - Shayna Pullo

Artist Statement

I’m a designer focused on branding, especially visual identity, packaging, and logo design. My work is minimal but intentional, I like creating clean designs that still communicate a strong feeling. For me, it’s important that every element has a purpose and contributes to the overall message. I’m really drawn to branding that makes you feel something, not just see something. I like when a brand can communicate its identity clearly without being overwhelming. Whether it’s minimal or more expressive, I’m inspired by designs that feel balanced and thoughtful. That idea of combining simplicity with emotion is something I always try to bring into my own work.

I started getting into art during a time when I needed a way to clear my mind. Creating helped me feel more grounded and gave me a sense of balance. Because of that, I see art as something personal and freeing. Through my work, I focus on creating designs that feel clear and finished. I’m interested in the moment when a visual idea feels complete. I want my work to communicate confidence without being excessive, allowing the design to speak through its precision rather than volume.

My process usually starts with creating a moodboard where I collect inspiration, colors, textures, and references that match the feeling I want to create. From there, I start developing ideas and refining them, always paying attention to both the visual side and the emotional side. I care about both equally, because I think good design should look good but also feel right.

At the end of the day, my goal is to create work that feels clear, intentional, and emotionally connected.
