Jaz Graf’s Phantom Entanglement really caught my attention once I stepped in to the exhibition even I could see it from the outside, as a simple view it made me think it was like a portal like from the shows and movies and the grey and black color gave me at least at me like a gothic vibe or a sense of mystery, since I’m really into the dark gothic aesthetic and every time I can I like to implement it on my art it gives me more ideas for my artwork and also makes me realize on how this “dark ideas” are getting more attention instead of sense of fear and rejection.
Appropriation Bag by Cheryl Riley was other art piece that caught my attention the idea of using different images and creating a bag with a collage reminded me my lasts projects that I’ve been doing by using different materials and images to create a unique artwork and also give me more ideas on how I can improve my work and create different pieces with the same “collage” technique.
