Ishmael's portfolio presentation is an in depth look at the newly fledgling artist's pieces. From digital to traditional illustration Ishmael has shown experience in a variety of artforms, several of which will be in this presentation. Along with these artforms shown there will be slides depicting the different influences and art history connections that are present in the artist's work. Said work has heavy influences in both expressionism and surrealism respectively, with heavy emphasis on line work. All of these aspects of the presentation culminating in a presentation that showcases images of a book illustrated by Ishmael about indigenous peoples combined with a dose of fantastical elements that allow viewers an introduction into the visual world that’s been created. These connections are not as random and cobbled together as they seem at first carefully crafted to show the forgotten people of history.
