Artist Statement

My work explores nostalgia as a way of reconnecting with the inner child. I’m interested in how memories of childhood contrast with the pressures of adulthood. Through my work, I aim to reintroduce the whimsy and joy that many people have lost, while also acknowledging the quiet grief that comes with growing up.

In a fast-paced society dominated by responsibility, career, and financial stress, emotional playfulness is frequently overlooked. My work allows that feeling to resurface, encouraging the viewers to reflect on their own experiences and reconnect with aspects of themselves that may have been set aside.

Visually, my style is cartoon inspired and also semi-realistic pieces, this allows me to shift between playful exaggeration to more grounded representations of memory. using soft effects and warm, muted color palettes to create gentle and inviting atmosphere. I recreate scenes from memory using animation and illustration to translate personal and shared experiences.

I used animation and illustrations to tell stories drawn from personal and shared experiences in my life. Working primarily in digital art through the Procreate program, I focus on memory as a central theme, using it as a bridge between past and present emotional states.
