I really enjoyed the art exhibit and all of the artist that showcased there work. The two works that caught my attention was Pat Lay's Transcendent Landscape #7, 2026 fired clay, glaze, computer parts, 6x6 and Tina Maneca's Comfort is an action 2. To start off, I'll talk about Pat Lay's artwork first. I like how there was a lot of different unique looking shapes on to the artwork. The second thing as a audience member that I liked was how she managed to incorporate various computer parts into her artwork that she showcased. To be honest I've never really seen any artist do what Pat Lay does and incorporate different computer parts into an art piece which makes it very unique and makes her artwork in a league of her own. As I kept looking at this art piece that she showed in the art exhibit on Thursday, it definitely felt like it was something that you would see in the future with its computerized parts, and how the circuit boards are placed, creating this sort of transparent pattern throughout the artwork. Lastly I love how the light in the art exhibit was placed on to the white color of her work, creating this cool glossy look effect on to her artwork.

Furthermore the second artwork that I liked during my time in the art exhibit was Tina Maneca's comfort is an action 2. In this artwork the room is basically like a nursery and when I saw the 2 stuffed animals in the old bassinet, it gave me this home good feeling as if felt very welcoming and it reminded me of when I was a baby in a small bedroom which I thought was interesting. In addition, the second thing that I liked that really resonated with me was the 1955 Chevrolet hood ornament that was hanging above the bassinet which was from the artist's father. The reason why it resonated with me was because she had it in a form of a cross which she told me was to represent her religion. I am also religious and where a cross everywhere I go as I am catholic and go to church every Saturday and that is when I felt a connection with her artwork. In conclusion, the last thing that I liked about this art piece from Tina was how she designed the quilt that was below the bassinet. I like how she managed to create a pattern with the various colors and squares that she added to the quilt, making it look very hypnotizing, which made it look like an artwork in itself.
