Post 3 Exhibition As An Audience- Arizabeth Baez

Of all the displays in the exhibitions, two stood out to me. Like this one below:

Tina Maneca's "Comfort In Action II"
Tina's work really shows how comfort can be both emotional and psychological. The moment I saw the bassinet, I had the immediate feeling of comfort. Everything has a connection and a meaning, and I find that very interesting. The installation also felt welcoming, and knowing the artist meant for the audience to feel like this, it was well projected.

Many artists do certain installations for comfort and to cope with certain situations, so I think Tina executed this project very well. She not only gathers important and meaningful objects, but collect "garbage to create real and imagined narratives". When it comes to forming a story, it is important to think of the audience and their ability to see the story. Tina made it work and got it through. Just seeing it in person is very storytelling.

Jennifer Roberts
Jennifer Roberts was such a great person, explaining her work. She was so sweet. Talking about her work, this one was the one that was most related to my work. For my BFA project, I was thinking of taking this space, of course, if possible (if not its fine). Also, I was imagining my photos being on display on the wall, having my mini table with a chair, and headphones. An auditory and visual experience at the same time. So that's why when I saw this installation, I was happy to see a similar idea that I was imagining.

For her project, she focused on "A Family Album". In this case, it is very personal, and she wanted to recreate memories she had before. I find this idea so perfect and so psychologically wonderful. Losing what you most loved and had in your possession can be truly be hearbreaking. She at least found a way to try to recover her past and memories. She executed this installation to perfection. Also, she couldn't have chosen a more perfect spot.
