My name is Arizabeth, and most of the work that I like to focus on is black and white photography, such as abstract and documentary. As for inspiration, I tend to get inspired by Cindy Sherman and Franchesca Woodman.

- One of the quotes that got my attention is " ... it is unfortunate that art history is not a part of the core curriculum in more high schools and colleges." I personally agree with this statement because back in High School, it would be rare to see art history classes being able for students. It should be seen more during High School before students continue in college. That way, they are more knowledgeable in Art History.
- The other quote was " People are sexually aroused by pictures and sculptures; they break pictures and sculptures; they mutilate them, kiss them, cry before them, and go on journeys to them". This reminded me of the Mexican culture and its beliefs. There are holidays that many people around Mexico tend to actually celebrate. They would go on long journeys, walking on their knees to reach their destination to visit the Vasilica in Mexico. A sculpture like the Virgin of Guadalupe can and always has had a grand impact on many people and believers.

- One of the artists that I truly gained inspiration from is Franschesca Woodman. When showing some of the work that I developed for the past few years, many people told me to explore Franchesca Woodman. It took me a few to discover her after realizing her work is so nicely developed and is also in black and white. I would honestly explore more further more artists that are more into black and white photography and have a similar eye.

Finally, Franchesca Woodman and Cindy Sherman have been two of the few artists who have really been an inspiration to my photographs. My artwork consists of black and white abstract, evocative, and atmospheric work. Some contain faces, and some are more abstract to represent "emotion". I would sometimes use myself as the model depending on the situation. My work will have meaning to it, and it is intended for the audience's perspective.
With my work, I have been focusing more on the social issues that many people/ students are dealing with around the world. Such as mental disorders like anxiety, depression, and more. When trying to start a new series or develop more photos, I tend to have motion and movement in the frame. I realized Franchesca Woodman also has movement in her photos and is so creative in many of them. I'm trying to focus more on not being too literate and too obvious.
